- Alt ve üst çenelerin sagital yöndeki iliskileri,
özellikle de sentrik iliski, yüzyılı askın bir süredir arastırmacıların
üzerinde durdugu önemli bir konudur.
Oklüzyon ve/veya temporomandibular eklem konusundaki
tartısmalar; sentrik iliskinin tanımı, kaydedilmesi
ve kaydında kullanılan apareyler etrafında yogunlasmıstır.
Sentrik iliski (SI) teriminin tanımlaması, yüzyıl
içinde “en geri, en arka ve en üst kondil pozisyonu”
ndan, “ön-üst kondil pozisyonu” seklinde degismistir.
SI, dis kontaklarından bagımsız olarak kondillerin fossa
içerisindeki pozisyonuyken, sentrik oklüzyon ise
maksiller dislerin mandibular dislere göre interoklüzal
dissel pozisyonunu ifade etmektedir. Bu derlemenin
amacı, sentrik iliski terimi ile ilgili degisik görüsleri
tartısmaktır.
- The search for the sagittal relationship,
especially sentric relation, between mandible and
maxilla has occupied the minds of researchers for
more than a century. Much of the occlusion/t
emporomandibular articulare debate involves issues
surrounding centric relation (CR),including definition,
recording and measurement. The definition of centric
relation has changed over the past century from a
retruded, posterior and superior condyle position to an
anterior/superior condyle position. CR is a position of
the condyles independent of tooth contact, whereas
centric occlusion (CO) is an interocclusal dental
position of the maxillary teeth relative to the
mandibular teeth. The purpose of this review is to
discuss some of the controversies concerning centric
relation.
