    - Federal questions have become increasingly important in contemporary politics and policy-making on a world wide scale. Many new and old states are struggling to find appropriate structures to give expression to the ethnic, religious and linguistic diversity of these societies. The main question in this paper is to analyse whether a federal solution is appropriate for Cyprus.
