    - This study examined the marital status-job satisfaction relationship in higher education. The population for the study consisted of academics in North Cyprus. The results show that the job satisfaction of married academics is on the whole higher than not married academics. Overall job satisfaction and extrinsic satisfaction levels varying for different marital status.
